Mr. Pretlow has fifteen years of experience in the private equity industry.  Before founding JPC, he was a Managing Director at Bain Capital, a global investment firm with over $40 billion of assets under management, where he worked for ten years.

Mr. Pretlow’s current Board Memberships include Cydcor, 2020 Companies and Pinnacle Security.  His former Board Memberships include: Labtec, Bentley’s Luggage, GT Bicycles, Duane Reade, DIC Entertainment, Maxim Crane and Artisan Entertainment.

Prior to Bain Capital, Mr. Pretlow was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers, where, as part of the Merchandising Group (retail companies), he helped advise on and execute numerous M&A and corporate finance transactions.

Mr. Pretlow holds a BA from Dartmouth College.
